When you believe you have a vision from God and it feels bigger than you, it’s understandable you would ask, ‘Well, what is the next step?’. For some of us, we may feel we’ve blown it, or walked away from it for too long, and we’re unsure if we will ever see it come to pass. In this Charis Minute, Andrew Wommack provides guidance and encouragement to those who are yet to see their vision from God come to pass.
‘I have a vision, what is the next step’ is a question that Andrew Wommack hears often
Andrew shares,
I’ve had two people ask me that today, and they said that they had a vision when they were young it just hadn’t worked out. What do they do? The first thing I would do is just go and say, ‘God, I believe that I have a vision from you’. ‘You have planted this vision in my heart, but I don’t know where to go or what to do’. If you’ve neglected or walked away from the vision then what? The first step would be to say, ‘God, I’m sorry. Forgive me’.
If you are repenting for having walked away from a vision God planted in your heart just be honest with God. God is not going to be mad at you. Be honest and say, ‘God, rekindle this vision’. Or if you don’t know how to go from where you are to where God has shown you, just be honest and tell him, God, I need some confirmation. I need somebody to come along. that will help me.
If you would just start focusing on that vision and taking it to the Lord in prayer, knowing that God wants it to come to pass more than you want it to come to pass. The things of God, if you will pursue, if you seek, you will find.
In Jeremiah it says, ‘I know the thoughts I have towards you, thoughts of peace, not of evil’. Then it goes on to say, ‘and if you seek me, you shall find me, when you shall search for me with all of your heart’. The reason that most people’s visions are not coming to pass is that we get sidetracked, we get distracted, and we just don’t pay attention. We get busy doing other things or we simply fear to take that step out of the boat like Peter did.
If you put your attention on the Lord and go to Him, saying, ‘God, I’m sorry’, or ‘God, show me, confirm it’. If you focus on that, God will bring the vision to pass
