Can satan hinder my prayers for finances?

If I’m praying for finances, God’s not going to give me money directly. Luke 6:38 says,

 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

God is going to use people. He might use my job. He might use a creative idea that I’ve got. The Scripture says that He will bless the work of your hands in Deuteronomy, chapter 28, verse 8,

 The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

So if you’re doing nothing, well then you’re hindering your own prayer by doing nothing. A way Satan can hinder your prayers is through deceiving you. So it’s important to evaluate whether unanswered prayer is a result of something you’re doing wrong or a direct hindrance of the devil. If it’s the latter then you have to take your authority.

When Satan can hinder our prayers, what does it look like to take authority?

The Bible says in James 4:7,

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

So you have to resist the devil, and he will flee from you. If you’re waiting on God to rebuke the devil for you, if you’re asking God to please get the devil off your back. It’s not going to happen that way. You have to believe and receive. Believe that you’ve got the power of God, and then you use your authority and speak directly to the mountain, not to God about your mountain.

So can Satan hinder our prayers? Yes, he can, but you have the authority to resist him, and that’s Good News!
