How to Advance in Every Area of Your Life

Jul 9, 2021

On New Year’s Eve 2017, the Lord asked me a question. He said, “Jesse, if you could take Christianity and define it and put it in one word, what would it be?”

Now, I was thinking salvation, healing, miracles, gifts of the Spirit, fruit of the Spirit, etc.

But the Lord said, “Advance. The whole armor of God is only for your front parts, nothing for your back, because you never turn around, and you never look back.” Everything we do in life, we must advance.

Paul said:

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 3:13-14

I had a great day yesterday. I just don’t remember any of it! It’s in the past. And the past never sees the future.

What is your future?

Some people don’t know what their future is because they’re looking backward in every area of their lives— spiritual, physical and financial.

Paul said, “Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” Notice, you have to be reaching forth.

Then Paul said, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

How do you advance?

You create with your mouth an atmosphere, a channel through which advancement flows to your future. The most important part of your life is what you believe about your future.

What are you willing to dream? What do you believe about your future, about yourself, about Christ in you?

Where’s your focus? Focus is not just a word, it’s a mandate. So you focus on your priority, and you eliminate your confusion. You don’t focus on the past. You don’t even focus on where you are now because you don’t have full revelation yet. You focus on where you are going—your future.

The Bible tells us that we can do all things through Christ in us (Phil. 4:13). If you’re not putting your faith in something impossible, you’re not using your faith. If it‘s possible, you can do it yourself. You don’t need God.

So how do you do the impossible? You don’t. You believe in God, and He does it.

Advancement must be revelation—revealed knowledge. Advancement must be a revelation that turns into an inspiration that produces a manifestation. And advancement will run toward you when your faith is activated!

How do you activate your faith? Agree with the Word of God!
